Prime Minister Rt Hon Nabbanja Robinah Represents President Museveni at the closure of the 2nd National mental health conference.
While delivering the President’s message during the closing ceremony at Silver springs Hotel Bugolobi Friday afternoon, Nabbanja says the discussion on mental health is timely as the country recovers from the harmful effects of COVID-19 and other pandemics.
The Premier adds that COVID-19 greatly affected the physical and mental health of Ugandans thus the need for such discussions.
Nabbanja is calling upon all sectors to incorporate mental health and psycho social support in all sectors of health and governance.
The conference was organised by the Uganda psychiatric association and the Uganda Counselling association under the theme “prioritising mental health through community involvement, together for mental health”.
