The territorial police in Kole District are on the lookout for Enon Sadrick, a 21-year-old suspect who allegedly stabbed his clan brother identified as Olinga Solomon, aged 22.
This occurred on May 25, 2024, at around 21:00 hours, in Bardokoculi cell, western ward (A), Akalo town council in Kole District. According to SP Jimmy Patrick Okema, this report was made by a concerned citizen, Ecat Bosco, aged 54, a businessman and resident of Barajet cell, western ward (A), Akalo town council in Kole District.
It is alleged that on May 25, 2024, at around 20:00 hours, when Olinga Solomon left home and went to the trading center for leisure, he found the suspect Enon Sadrick, who accused him of stealing his memory card. Immediately, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed him in his left ribs before fleeing. The deceased fell down, and blood started oozing from the point of impact.
Okema added that he was quickly picked up and rushed to Aduku Health Center IV. However, he died on arrival at the hospital after the doctor’s assessment.
Police said the body of the deceased was later transported to Lira Regional Referral Hospital for postmortem. A case of murder by stabbing has been registered at Kole CPS as investigation is ongoing.
The crime scene was examined and documented by the district SOCO and a team of detectives from the homicide squad. Statements were recorded from relevant witnesses, according to SP Okema.
Efforts to apprehend the suspect are still ongoing. However, police appeal to the suspect to report himself to the nearest police facility for actions to be taken against him. Police also call for calmness from the relatives of the deceased and request them to allow the suspect to be handled by the law of Uganda.
